Gnomeregan Rep

Published by rhondas at 2:09 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Let’s discuss rep in general. Reputation is something earned, in the game of World of warcraft. There are major cities: Darnassus, Stormwind, Iron Forge, Exodar for alliance, and for Horde it’s Duraton, Silvermoon, Mulgore, Undercity. So, a player works throughout the entire game, which has no end, by the way, to earn certain milestones in reputation: Neutral, friendly, honored, revered, and exalted. Upon earning honored, and revered, the amount resets, and at the end, a player needs to earn 21000 for exalted. Usually they start out friendly.
Those are the major cities, and a player gets a nice title of ambassador, if they become exalted to all 4 of their faction. If they become exalted with 10 factions, they earn an achievement. Then, there’s smaller factions and tribes, like Shatari Skyguard, where exalted earns a nice netherray flying mount. In the Northrend, there’s the Kalkuk, they are walruses. Get exalted with them, and you can get a penguin pet.
Having 8 mounts, and being exalted in all but Exodar, when my level 80 night elf decided she wanted a mechanostrider from Gnomeregan, I went back through Iron Forge, and realized I had missed half the quests there, most of the quests in Westfall, never finished Gnomeregan, and had loads of farming for runecloth, or questing. I was at revered, 11000, out of 21000. I decided to do a bit of both, and I used this website, constantly and my plan worked. But, I found out there’s great unknown places to farm for runecloth. In Iron Forge, there’s runecloth turn in’s, where you turn in 20 runecloth, for 75 rep. Um, that is exactly, per 21000, approximately 1050 runecloth per bubble. Or something like that.It is hard to figure runecloth per bubble. Runecloth is too expensive to buy.
So I turned on my low level quest indicator, and that is when I found out how many quests I had never done. Gnomer rep grind is not quite as bad as Shatari sky guard and the egg bomb quest. To find runecloth, it’s easier to kill the ogers over by Kara, there’s tons of runecloth, and the damage done is practically nothing.
A player has several choices of mechnostriders: white, yellow, green, and I think there’s a black one as well. Since Blizzard has changed the qualifications, any race can get one. Oddly,I’ve been wanting one since level 40. (When my night elf turned level 40, that is when she could learn riding. Soon after, it was changed, and my paladin got her mount at 30). At 42, my paladin got her Darnassus cat.
Here is a small picture of the mechanostrider:

I would suggest, if you are going to do the Gnomer rep grind, to use the website I linked to, and do a bit of farming for runecloth. Choose the quests that have the most Gnomer rep: (Like, in Loch Moden, Bingle’s Missing Supplies is worth 250 rep). Get them all done while in the area (duh). It is fun to do the beginning quests at 80, you can plow through them, but it becomes a long grind. my night elf is at 15590 revered, with Gnomer, and she continues to work at it. I suspect by the weekend, I should be very close. It is worth it, you guys, so just keep plugging along there.
